We constantly strive to be responsible and are dedicated to finding ways to do things better. Listening to new ideas, starting conversations, and encouraging small changes that make our industry a better place.
Our staff are proactive, we employ the efficient use of resources and raise awareness among our team to sustain the long-term protection of our environment. Our customers are increasingly aware of the impact of plastics on the environment, and we have seen a huge rise in clients looking for more sustainable solutions.
We continually face fresh challenges as we embark on thrilling new projects. To minimise our carbon footprint, we’ve diligently integrated more eco-friendly practices and products into our business. We have also initiated a tree-planting campaign to counterbalance our global shipping activities and contribute to reducing our carbon footprint.

Supply Chain
- Our supply chain must adhere to relevant national and international environmental laws and regulations.
- Our primary umbrella manufacturing facility in the UK has been working hard since 2009 to keep things green and is proud to be Carbon Neutral, powered by 100% renewable energy, all generated using windmills, solar panels, and a hydro installation.
- Our bag partners are SEDEX audited. This means they are independently audited in accordance with the four pillars of SEDEX which manage performance around labour rights, health & safety, the environment and business ethics.
- Our Indian factories are Fairtrade Certified which means products we manufacture in Fairtrade cotton are from a traceable supply chain that ensures ethical trading. Fairtrade means trade between companies in developed countries and producers in developing countries in which fair prices are paid to the producers.
- We strongly recommend the use of organic cotton, produced in a less polluted environment, this ensures that cotton workers and wildlife aren’t exposed to harmful chemicals and toxins
- Our Chinese factories are audited on a 2-year schedule to ensure compliance as environment and social requirements change and evolve.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Packaging
India: we’ve moved from plastic packaging for shipping to compostable corn-starch bags. 100% complete.
China: we’re transitioning from plastic packaging for shipping to compostable and aim to be complete by end of 2025.
Our cartons for shipping are FSC certified which means they are made from renewable sources.
Shipping
We offer all clients the option of shipping by sea rather than air, which is kinder to the environment.
Our shipping lines use carbon offsetting.
We have a tree planting initiative to reduce the carbon impact our business has on the planet.
Products
We are donating a percentage of sales of our recycled PET bags to Plastic Oceans.
We will not source or supply single-use plastic items for clients.
We have introduced a range of recycled bags to our stock range, including the latest in recycled textile technology.
We have a range of umbrellas that are eco-friendly made from RPET (recycled PET plastic) and sustainable wood.
We no longer use non-ethical clothing suppliers, and all fabrics are organic and/or recycled.
Our stationery products use recycled and/or sustainable materials.
Office
We have installed solar panels in our warehouse and office.
Our office and warehouse electric supply is 100% renewable.
All our company cars are electric.
Company-wide recycling in conjunction with the council recycling scheme.
FSC certified paper stationery has been purchased as we phase out old stocks of cards, tape and paper.
