Frequently Asked Questions About Branded Merchandise

Wurlin’s Supply Chain

What does it mean to have a “short, ethical supply chain”?

It means we have direct relationships with the artisans and manufacturers who create our products. This approach removes unnecessary middlemen, which allows us to ensure fair wages and safe working conditions. A “short” supply chain means the journey from raw material to finished product is as direct as possible, reducing both our environmental impact and the time it takes to deliver your order.

How do you ensure your products are ethically sourced and produced?

We personally vet every partner in our supply chain. We prioritise suppliers who hold certifications from recognised ethical and sustainable organisations like Fair Trade, or who have transparent practices we can verify ourselves through SMETA audits. We also conduct regular site visits and maintain open communication to ensure our high standards are consistently met.

What kind of materials do you use?

We prioritise using materials that are sustainably and ethically sourced, such as organic cotton, recycled plastics, and reclaimed wood. We avoid materials linked to unethical labour practices or significant environmental harm. Our product descriptions provide full transparency on the materials used.

Product Customisation and Ordering

What are the minimum order quantities?

Because we work directly with our makers, we often have lower minimum order quantities than suppliers who rely on large-scale manufacturing. We can provide specific numbers based on the product you’re interested in, but our model is designed to be accessible for businesses of all sizes, from small start-ups to large corporations.

How long does it take to get my order?

Our short supply chain means efficient turnaround times. We don’t have long shipping delays or a backlog of orders from multiple manufacturers. Once you approve your product specification, we can give you a precise timeline for production and delivery. Our process is streamlined to be as efficient as possible without compromising quality. Our inhouse shipping coordinator will keep you updated and share tracking delivery updates with you.

Can I see a sample before placing a large order?

Absolutely. Yes you can see a sample before placing an order. We include sampling as part of our ordering process so you can see and feel the quality of the product you are ordering. If it’s an off-the-shelf option then we’ll supply an unbranded product for you to review. If it’s an item that we’re manufacturing from scratch for you, we’ll get that to you within 2 weeks of you ordering with us. We want you to be completely confident in your purchase and ensure the specification is absolutely right.

Wurlin’s Commitment To Sustainability

Is Wurlin’s packaging sustainable?

Yes. We are committed to reducing waste at every step. Our packaging is made from recycled or biodegradable materials. We avoid plastic wherever possible and use right-sized boxes to minimise our carbon footprint during shipping. If we’re developing packaging for you, we’ll create less waste and work with you to ensure it can be reused or recycled.

What is your company’s carbon footprint?

By having a short supply chain, we inherently have a smaller carbon footprint than traditional suppliers. We also actively seek out shipping partners who use eco-friendly practices and we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce our energy consumption. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible about our impact and to continually improve.
